Why didn’t I think of that?
Ever have one of those moments when you come across a product that is one of the most ridiulously good ideas you’ve ever seen, yet it is simpler than making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich?
It happened to me twice in the last week.
I think of all the waste paper basket jump shots I have made over the years using crumpled up paper from a spiral bound notebook, and it occurs to me that I could make anything spherical into a ball.
These guys took it a step forward and made those crumpled up sheets of paper into the real thing. Or it appears.
The simple idea of putting a pattern that when crumpled looks like a baseball, basketball or football–on the BACKSIDE of a piece of paper, makes all those games of HORSE with crumpled paper just that much more realistic.
Makes you wonder why you didn’t think of that huh?
I found this the other day browsing the internet at www.topcultured.com.
The ingenius idea was put together by the design team at www.trappedinsuburbia.nl, and the were a finalist for the European Design Award in 2008, with the idea behind the project to encourage people to have more fun at work.
