Jordan Crawford talks about dunk on LeBron

14 July 2009 View Comments

So they guy that has exposed LeBron James to be a little girl, has spoken out, and he seems pretty humble about the whole thing. Here is the short 35 second video below.

Still waiting on the actual tape of him being dunked on to come out, but let’s look at some facts.

1.LeBron has never been known as a defensive super star. So he got dunked on. Big deal. It has happened to Michael Jordan & Kobe Bryant, the two most recent players to be more of a super star than LeBron James. No one has EVER said the best thing about him is his defense. It’s not like this is Ron Artest…who is known for his defense and only that being dunked on.

2.This kid is not some player off the street. He plays for a Division 1 NCAA school that is known for basketball…Xavier. If he was some no name off the street, I could see LeBron loosing some street cred. But, he’s not so get over it.

3.Finally…please, whoever snagged these tapes…put them online. Not that I care to see it, but LeBron needs to understand he is human. If he gets dunked on in the 2nd quarter of an NBA game by a guy that just signed a 10-day contract, is he going to run over to the video equipment and pull the cord on the live feed so no one can see it? Please, get over it, humble this guy so he can laugh about it and we can all go on with life.

Everyone has heard about this over the last week…now I want to hear from you…what are your thoughts on this whole situation?

IDK what is with Lebron James, but he's shown a lot this year about what little character he has. He spent the season bragging and saying how awesome he is (example: "My range is…..*shrugs* infinite."). Then when he loses to Orlando he leaves the court w/o shaking hands, no press conference, nothing. Then this happens and he acts like he's some basketball god that can't be proven to be flawed. He needs to just get over himself.

Yeah, as much as I dislike Kobe, I've got to say he's handled his stardom much better than LeBron. I have lost mad respect this year. It will be hard for him to gain that back from his analytical fans. The young impressionable ones will be easy. :-/ guess that's fitting since he's pouting like he's 12.Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry

LeBron James has the same problem carrying himself as Billy Gillispie did here in Kentucky. You have to realize that when you're on the stage that you're on, and held under the microscope that people of your stature are that you have to conduct yourself better. There aren't a great many professional athletes that I have respect for. Though I'm a big sports fan, I just don't understand the salaries some people draw to play a game. Want to fix the American economy? How about some legislation on professional sports salary caps? What bothers me the most is that the people who play the least dangerous sports make more money. Hockey and football salaries should be higher than sports like baseball and basketball even if solely based on the amount of physical contact. Lebron, you make millions of dollars to put a ball through a hoop. STFU.
