All I have been hearing about all day long is the cheap shot that Brady Quinn threw on
Terrell Suggs following an interception in Monday nights showdown between the Ravens and Browns.
In fact, “Brady Quinn Cheap Shot” at one point today was rated as “volcanic” on Google Trends.
I was reading all this at work, and did not get a chance to see it until now…and let me just tell you, I am kind of shocked.
Not that I think the block was shady, or what would be considered a “chop block” but from the video I saw…it looks like Quinn lit Suggs up. Legally.
A chop block is typically classified as a block below the waste, but from the quick glance I saw on the YouTube video…it looks like Quinn just lowered his shoulder, and trucked Suggs.
The video I saw is posted below. Watch carefully, you will see the play start at 1:50 in the video, and you can barely see Quinn and Suggs.
My question is this…first of all, does anyone have a video that shows this from a different angle, and second…does it seem like people are just making a fuss because a quarterback laid out a pass rushing specialized linebacker?
