During the early 2000′s, no women’s soccer team in central Florida could keep up with the Citrus High School Lady ‘Canes. They had a dominate program, and had several players move on to play at the collegiate level. This game was a great example of their skills.

CRYSTAL RIVER – Tuesday was a good day for Crystal River. The boys team easily handled Citrus, winning 109-76, and a full complement of divers helped the Pirates girls to a 97-86 win.
“I knew with the girls that it was going to be very, very close,” Crystal River coach Tim Holme said. “(Citrus) didn’t have any divers, so it made a difference.”

LECANTO–Following a no hit performance against Dunnellon High School in her last outing, sophomore Ashley Rogers drove in four runs to help boost Hernando High school to an 11-2 victory over Lecanto High School Wednesday night in Lecanto.
“Ashley has done well this year,” said Hernando coach Ernie Chatmen. “She has been pitching well, and has done an overall solid job for us.”

Pier Presti has been out of this world for Citrus High Schools boy’s tennis team this season. Literally. Presti, a junior is a foreign exchange student from Venezuela has been a force to be reckoned with this season at the number one seed.
Presti was defeated every area number seed at least once this season, with the exception of Hernando Brooksville High Schools number one seed Andrew Sufficool.
